Its attractive price point, large flat-screen monitor, and excellent image quality makes it a fairly obvious and easy choice for OB/GYN, cardiac, vascular, 4D, advanced breast imaging, venous, and many other modalities.

Hi I'm Brian Gill, President of GPS Medical and this is the Siemens Antares premium Revision 5.

Today we're going to take a look at the 4D capabilities of this machine. The GE Voluson 730 has long been known as the gold standard for 4D imaging capabilities and well, it still is. However, this is an outstanding imaging machine with advanced features such as SieClear and SieScape... other companies call them CrossXBeam, Speckle Reduction Imaging, SonoCT XRES kind of image optimization.

Now the 4D on here is just a really nice bonus to something that is already a nice premium very very good ultrasound that will just come in lower in price than those really high end machines, but you are going to get the other imaging capabilities that are just so outstanding.

So we're going to take a look at the 4D imaging capabilities, but let me tell you one thing about this: I'm going to be using a baby phantom and it's not the prettiest thing in the world. It simulates a twenty two week-old baby and it's made of some sort of compound that just isn't that cute but it will get a good idea what the imaging capabilities are of the Siemens Antares system.

So as you can see, the Acuson Antares obstetrics really has some nice features as far as the measuring and being able to adjust that 4D image.

With the Acuson Antares gynecological applications you can take a look at and measure things from an angle use couldn't see before. You can take a measurement on it, and that's what's really cool about the 4D ultrasound imaging; and doctors coming up with really neat things to do with the 4D imaging these days.

So, you should seriously consider the Acuson Antares if you're looking into a really good Obstetric and vascular system and you want to add 4D ultrasound capability.

It also has video outputs if you ever want to record to a DVD recorder or any of these things that people are doing these days with a 4D ultrasound. It has all the capabilities of the Voluson 730 4D Ultrasound, and as far as exporting those videos ... getting a live video feeds taking things home ... little pictures for grandma and grandpa on all that fun stuff.
