At first glance, we really didn't think the X300 could have the power and functionality that it could. However, this is a full-blown, heavyweight machine that full functionality for 99% of the available markets.
With 4D technology and full shared service, the X300 does a fantastic job of representing the new Acuson ultrasound systems. It's clear that the Acuson name is back and better than ever.
With a small footprint, high-tech look, and probably the easiest-to-use interface for current mid-range ultrasound machines, we expect the X300 to quickly take hold as the hottest selling ultrasound in its market.
Key Advantages
The X300 competes strongly in all markets, competing strongly with its main competitors in the compound imaging, speckle reduction, 4D, harmonics, and shared-service capabilities. In side-by-side comparisons, the X300 will likely impress you most with equivelant or superior image quality as well as ease-of use.
Additionally: monitor has wide field-of-view, quickstart feature, CD/DVD burner, storage available via USB to DICOM, AVI, TIFF, JPG, etc.
AutoOB: automatically calculates OB measurements. Cool.
Great for all markets.
Price/Performance: As of 2009, this is the simply the best price/performance for a system with its quality and functionality.
Stablility: these units are much less "buggy" than competitive products. This tips the scales in its favor.
Image Quality
Great. Best for markets like: OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, MSK, breast, endocrinology, veterinary, and any office needing Cardiac or shared service needs without a million-dollar budget.
4D Imaging
One of the biggest questions and concerns we receive from customers is "how is the 4D imaging" What we tell them is what really matters: for 90% of the customers who buy 4D ultrasound, the most important factors are: quality image, frame rate, ease-of-use, storage to media. This has it all. It won't have the frame rates of a new Voluson, but it also doesn't carry the heavy price point and has superior functionality. The image quality actually surprised us. We doubt any customers would be disappointed with the results they get from the X300.
Bottom Line
Strongly recommended. Stable, great image quality, versatile, great price point. All else being equal, buy it for the stability and save yourself the potential headaches.
