GE Voluson i Ultrasound Machine

We brought in some friends to test out the Voluson i. We wanted to find out how good this 4D was. Judge for yourself! Hear the soon-to-be big brother speak to his little sister in the womb. It's not caught on this video, but the baby actually smiled for us when her brother would talk to her. Our overall impressions: This is quite an impressive little machine. Real-time 4D imaging in a tiny package. We were impressed by its image quality for such a small machine. It's about the size of two laptop computers and the image quality is quite impressive. In 2D, we would consider this much like the Logiq e, with the bonus of having 4D capabilities. It even has CrossXBeam, SRI II (Speckle Reduction Imaging), and TUI (Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging). This equates it to a late-model Voluson 730.
We recently performed a 4D scan in our office here, and the video above shows our results. We were quite impressed with the abilities of this machine. They did a nice job on the user interface, although it leaves something to be desired, it serves its purpose and with a little training it will become no problem.
If you're looking for a great portable unit, this thing really does the job. Easy to use, good controls, excellent image quality, good color doppler, all in a small package. We are aware that it had some stability issues early on, and we are told that those are taken care of. Our only issues here were dealing in hooking up external peripherals.
